Age Group Specifications

Age Group Specifications

As of Jan 2026, the UK will be moving from odd age group (Under 13, Under 15, Under 17 etc based on academic year, so U13 will be Year 6+7 will be U13, Year 8+9 will be U15 and Year 10 and 11 is U17) to the even age groups (Under 12, Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 so that you must be that age or under on the 31st of December that competition year). 


Further information will be released when the format of U12/U14/U16 Combined events but U18 combined events in the UK are U18 Decathlon for Men and U18 Heptathlon for Women outdoors.
